Thales VesseLINK 700
A flexible, capable & global ocean ranging solution
The Thales VesseLINK 700 provides a reliable, robust solution, with truly global coverage via the Iridium NEXT LEO constellation. Covering all ocean regions, the combination of the Iridium constellation and NSSLGlobal network infrastructure ensures the customer will experience the best possible voice and data service.
A single cable solution provides both power and communication between the antenna and above decks unit. The supplied single cable is ideal for mounting, whilst the unit can accommodate up to 50m of connection cable, enabling it be installed in a range of positions on the vessel whilst still having the best view of the sky.
Utilising Iridium Certus, the terminal currently delivers a market leading 704kbps/352kbps connection speed.
Use of the inbuilt 3 independent voice lines is also enhanced by the low latency Certus connection, providing a rapid response for critical data whenever it is required.
NSSLGlobal has also fully integrated the Iridium Certus® service into its next gen customer INSIGHT Portal for the complete management of the Certus service.
Customizable Platform
Built with government customers in mind, the VesselLink terminal can be configured to suit a vast range of telephony and radio equipment. The front three RJ45 ports can each support SIP phones or data connections to a computer. A dedicated POTS RJ14 port can support an analogue handset, with the option to add another handset via a splitter.
A radio handset can be connected to the I/O port on the reverse of the unit,
providing a radio gateway function. This allows all of the radio equipment attuned to the gateway radio to be called from a standard phone anywhere on the planet.
The VesselLINK also features a configurable WAN port, allowing an external bearer such as an LTE modem or network connection to be used as the main communications path when available.
