NSSLGlobal signs contract with Dataport in Germany strengthening crisis satcoms provision across six federal states

NSSLGlobal, a global leader in full-service project engineering, satellite communication and systems integration, has won a contract with Dataport in

Germany to help strengthen their communication management services, especially during crisis and emergency “blackout’ situations when communication will be vital. Dataport is the IT service provider for public administration to six German federal states, tasked with ensuring access to the latest in communication and technology solutions that are not only robust and reliable during times of crisis, but cost effective as well.

Underpinning NSSLGlobal’s success in winning this tender is its decades of experience in delivering satellite communications and engineering expertise, with the latest and best technology in the industry. Datapoint identified NSSLGlobal’s upgraded and bespoke Starlink LEO service, its VSAT Broad IP network and Push-to-Talk (PTT) handheld satphones and mobile solutions for resilience and reliability.

A compelling factor in the tender for Datapoint is the centralised operational control they get from INSIGHT, NSSLGlobal’s web-based customer management portal. INSIGHT enables Datapoint to manage and streamline their communication processes efficiently. From the activation of SIM cards to viewing airtime consumption, service status and billing, INSIGHT ensures that, Dataport has full visibility and control of their terminals, usage and service.

“Our collaboration with Dataport will help support them in ensuring the safety and well-being of communities across six federal states,” said Peter Crafter, Business Development Director,

NSSLGlobal. “This partnership underscores our dedication to support disaster relief in Germany and we are now working with several public delivery partners to provide tailored, reliable, and innovative systems and satellite communication solutions, along with our engineering expertise, to meet their individual needs.”
Gerd Voß, Head of Service Coordination Voice at Dataport added: “This relationship represents a significant milestone in enhancing our crisis management capabilities. By harnessing NSSLGlobal’s cutting-edge communications technology, we will be in a strong position to set new benchmarks in emergency and crisis communication.”
